Here are a couple of sketches to prep me for story book imagination ideas, before committing to the wall.

How would you celebrate 10 years of Marriage? Have a portrait (or three) painted of your Union.  One thoughtful fella did just that! Congratulations Greg and Donna, 10 years for two beautiful people.

When you read it can be transported to different worlds, my latest addition to the library mural is bringing imagination to life. Also adding some of the kids favourite titles to the bark of the trees.

When my husband takes a week of work I get to finish up some projects, baby free! Kindergarten night is tomorrow night, glad to have finished the room in time. Hope it makes a warm impression with the wee ones.

After seeing most of the work in the library complete (most). I’m taking a break and adding a fun element to one of the three kindergarten rooms. A welcoming willow.  I had no idea how fascinating it would be to the class. At one point I had two rows of children just sitting watching, asking questions. Lots of fun….trying to figure out if there is a way I can involve them.  Also learned a valuable lesson, painting on the sealing tiles, even with permission is against fire code! (Glad I didn’t get further than a couple branches).

Yesterday was basically run around the room, up and down a ladder fixing everything that was bugging me. I took tree leaves around corners, fixed arms that were to short, changed clothing colours, and finished my neglected birch trees. And outlined the last minute willow tree.

Well on this rainy Tuesday morning Lily and I spent an hour and a half in the library. One wall has been haunting me with its cold blank stare. It’s the wall you look at the second you walk in, but it’s a wall with windows and a white board already taking up residence. So how do you work around that? A weeping  willow of course!

I was ambitious today, I knew my daughter was feeling clingy (teething) but thought I’d try and get a bit done on the library mural. We lasted an entire hour before the inevitable melt down. 

Okay we are entering into a long weekend so spent a couple hours today. 

Well I’ve almost got you all caught up. Got into the school twice this week and made some progress on the children. Here is where things stood as of Tuesday.
